Area 3 held their 2nd Annual Mini Conference on October 31, 2008.  This is a one day conference with five classes offered and it is held at one of the school districts.  This year speakers included:

Tiffany Purdy- Special Needs Nurse
Scherri- Starting Right with Breakfast

This training opportunity has been a great success and well participated!

Chapter 3W-  Payette
Payette chapter continues to fundraise for conferences.  Last spring they held a freezer sale and sold all of the extra freezer items on hand.  They planned another sale before Christmas.
Chapter 3X-  Weiser
Weiser chapter did a mini pan and bread sale in October and November at local craft fairs.  They also catered a Prime Rib dinner in January.  They, too, are preparing for ISNA mini conference.

Chapter 4C - Laur-Ada
In 1979, Meridian School Nutrition separated from Ada County Chapter and organized their own chapter named, Laur-Ada, in honor of Laura Payne Jones. Laura Jones helped establish the food service organization in our state. In 2006, Kuna Food Service joined Laur-ada Chapter.

Laur-Ada chapter meets monthly and annually sales pans & cinnamon rolls at the Eagle Bazaar. This year they are raising funds for mini conference and plan to send at least 20 members to ANC in Las Vegas. The following is their meeting schedule for 2008-09:
